What i learn
When i started my journey with Qnet, it was just another fantasy ride as usual lasting for a few weeks or months or maximum 1 or 2 year which i was looking forward. But within days of the qnet business i started realising the power of business - the need to be disciplined, to plan and importantly to dream.
Everyone have dreams but it is not structured - giving their child the best education, owning a luxury car and building your own house. These are few dreams which comes to your mind running at the outset of mentioning dream. Having said that there will be something which you want to do it any cost or one thing for which you have taken your birth. They call it the dream B. Suppose you are drown in water and you don't know swimming there will be thoughts running in your mind as who will do that for me if or what will happen if i live the planet earth now? - that compelling reason for your survival on earth need to identified. If you are able to sort out that puzzle then things just simply fall in. If You already identified that dream of yours rest of the efforts will fall in place. For some it may be fame, others it may be money, others it may be tribute to their children, parents, teachers or even their nation.
If you have identified the very reason for your existence on earth then the passion to get there urges you to find ways to reach your goal or destination. Climbing the steps or with the help of a ladder you reach the top. Cherish the moment when you are achieving the goals - dream it and you will be more compelled to go for it. Discipline and planning are two tools which will take you there along with passion. Planning is required to utilise your resources to the maximum - optimum usage of resources.
Taking a string from what the Q-net teaches me i would like to apply it in our family of NSSCE - marketing, networking and sourcing.
With a vast field of experience - planning, qs, execution, contract we can manage our own company - at least in the technical field. We have to learn the art of marketing. See how these people in the business market themselves. Each say he is very successful in this business and you are extremely lucky to have an opportunity to work with them. Marketing is an art as well as a science. We are unlucky to have that talent but definitely we can work and improve on it. With regards to network we are spread all over Kerala.
My idea is to go for a EPC - engineering, procurement and construction - all under one roof - this has to have also design and necessary approvals. We have to start one in ernakulam - which is centre of Kerala as well as a business hub. To start with we need to construct some villas or houses and sell it. How to approach it - either one among us have to build one house or pool amount and go for building. Now coming to commercial part - just like e-business let us all contribute money with proper book of accounts. I think Mr. Vipin Muralee can guide us on this aspect. If 20 are there and each contribute 1 lakh we have enough money to complete one project, with proper planning and management we can complete this within 1 year and market it. I don't think selling off a property will not be a great deal presently.
How the services done by each person will be calculated is the question. Also who will do the work on ground - i mean execution at ground level. I don't think creating a team won't be that difficult, even i have contacts for 2-3 sub contractors.
Second thought which crosses my mind is whether we are restricting ourselves or we need to think big - some flats or villas - whether company to be started in India, Kerala or middle east.
